Story :
I am Nandu, the hero of this story. How I became a hero ? It's a long story....

It is said that the friends we make during our childhood are true friends. Because there is no selfishness in that friendship, except pure innocence. I have one such friend - Malli

I met Malli when I was 10 years old. His house is in my neighbourhood. We used to eat, play and sleep together. But don't think we hadn't any differences in between us. Malli had a crush for Aishwarya Rai while I had a crush for Priyanka Chopra.

I loved school, but Malli hated it. If there is a shortage of attendance, we were not allowed to sit for examinations. So, I always used to drag him to the classroom. But, as the years rolled by, Malli got some new friends. Malli used to skip classes and hang out with them. "What he used to do with them ?" you may ask. But I am not gonna say it, because he is still my best friend. Tears are flowing through my eyes right now.. let's get back to the story.

Malli and me, we were in tenth class then. One fine morning, Malli took me to the railway station. I thought it is to give send off to one of his friends, but after going there he told me that we are going to give send off to our parents.
"Let's run away" - Malli's words were still ringing in my head.
"But why ?" I asked
"Life is so boring, for thrill" - Malli
"I am not going to come with you"
Malli - "Please ra. I thought of going alone, but felt that you can't live with out me"
Me - "Malli, please. Think once again. You don't know what you are risking for this fanciness of yours. Your parents live in a society. People ask questions"

Just then, a girl came running towards us. She caught Malli's shoulder and started gasping.
"What a beauty ?" I thought
Malli - "Actually there is one more reason for running away from home. hm. She is Puri, my girl friend"

At that very moment, my heart cracked. It was broken into a million pieces. Malli wouldn't even take a piss, with out telling me, but this big news, how come he kept it confidential. Even from me..

Malli - "I know what is going on in your head. Her father is a Police commissioner, so I have to maintain it, very secretive"

Me - "A police commissioner. Oh my God. The Police. Malli, you are trying to elope with a minor girl who is the daughter of a commissioner. Now, let her go and you come with me. Let's get back to our houses"

Puri - "Please Nandu, please. Oh, you may be wondering, how I know your name, but Malli used to tell me everything about you - How you used to drag him to the school, for the fear that he might be debarred. Please come with us. After five years, when everything cools down, we will come back"

The girl's eyes, her nature made me a soft ball.

Announcement in the railway station "Puri, don't go any where"

Puri - "That's my father. It means the police had already entered the station"
