Held (Part-1)

Story :

A man was walking on a rainy day in a forest. He was six foot tall with an angular face and athletic physique. He was walking with clenched fists thumping the ground with his boots. He wore a rain coat that covered his body entirely and an Indiana Jones hat. As he was walking listening to the sound of rain drops he remembered how unlucky his life was since beginning.

Dan was the only child for his parents. His father was a well known landlord in the village. His parents, used to tell him, and also the whole village, that Dan will study in a city to become a big engineer. They died when he was eight years old, leaving him alone. His uncle, a long distant relative came to take care of him. He behaved like a good man with the villagers and a villager on one occasion revealed the dream of Dan's parents for him. So, on one fine day, he assembled all villagers and told them, that he is going to sell all the property of Dan's parents, take him to a city and make him study there using that money. Some villagers came forward to buy the property, some even took it for a higher cost than the original rate, thinking that it would do good to a fatherless boy. Dan's uncle, carefully planning all the things, bid Vaarwel to the villagers. Fearing that the villagers might track him, he took Dan to another state. Leaving him at the door step of home for  the destitutes; telling that he would return in a minute, he disappeared. Dan, after waiting a long time there, went inside. The superintendent of that home, after asking Dan of his whereabouts and not reaching a conclusion, took him inside, fed him and made him work like the rest of the children.

There, Dan used to do all the work that is assigned to him without complaining. His dexterity in doing the tasks and his impeccable nature helped him gain the confidence of the superintendent. The superintendent, started sending him to a near by school. Dan used to study very hard and after completing his school work, used to continue his other works at the home just like the rest of the children. The superintendent's wife is a very greedy woman and she didn't like her husband, doing social service working at a lesser wage at that aisle. After many unsuccessful attempts to change the mind of her husband, she once went to hostel, switched on the gas, closed it's doors and started fire. The screams of the children inside the home couldn't move her, neither the passers by on the streets. Even though it happened in broad day light, everyone is busy, watching their wrists and moving stead fast. Neither the superintendent nor Dan were present in the home at that time. When Dan came from school that evening, he saw the home incinerated. He went to the superintendent's home, but his wife wouldn't let him inside, nor let her husband see him. She scolded him - "You looted our wealth for your schooling". Dan not withstanding her words, went far away from that place to another city. He is now sixteen years old.

He worked for a Electrician in that city. The electrician was an old man with no children. He let Dan, stay with him in his house. After two years, the electrician became sick and started staying at home. Dan used to care of the shop and also, the old man when he went home. After an year the old man died leaving him the shop. Dan, who is good at making friends, made the road side children his friends and made them learn the work. Later they started working with him. He worked very hard to sustain himself among the already established electricians. His hardwork didn't go waste. His diligence gained many new customers in the next five years, than did the old man in his entire life. He is now twenty four years old. His rep in that place increased and every one in that city respected him, since they witnessed his raise which is enigmatic to see in real life.

One fine morning, as he was checking the accounts in his shop, a young lady came in. Dan's pulse rose as he watched her striding from the threshold towards him. She came near and told him that there is some problem with the water motor at their home and requested him to send some one. Dan telling her that he handled problems of that kind himself, went to her home and made it right. Later on they used to greet each other when ever they came across. When ever there is a problem with in the locality of that lady, Dan used to personally go and look after the problem. Soon they became good friends and started exchanging gifts. One day Dan took her to a candle light dinner and proposed her there. She let him put the ring to her hand. After coming home, her dad inquired about the ring. She told her dad, about her love. Her father became furious, since Dan didn't even go to college while his daughter went to Business school. He scolded her and told her to forget him. When Lilly refused to do so, he beat her like a beast. He kept her in a room and locked it. He didn't let anyone inside, not even her mom and also any food till she apologizes to him. Still sore with wounds, she some how escaped and went to Dan. Dan, after seeing her in that situation and also knowing the money power of Lilly's father, abandoned his shop, his home and all the intangible assets he gained and left the city with the money he saved till then.

2012 (Part-12)

Story :
All this while Yung was inside a room with in the laboratory. Rana didn't do anything inside the glass enclosure as Ramana expected of him becoming convulsive. He just stood looking at Ramana. After a brief moment, Yung came out hastily 
Yung - "Ramana, Ramana, NASA just gave a press statement, that a rocket originating from North Korea has destroyed the meteor"
Ramana - "You, son of a bitch. What have ye done ?"
Rana - "Ramana, Ramana, Ramana ( a laughing smile) I am waiting for this news. And you thought that Krypton will make me weak, since I am a Superman. I am not superman. I have this power by the grace of God. Vaunting of yourself, you forgot that this glass enclosure, is not closed from top"

Saying this Rana, raised himself and flown out of the glass enclosure coming infront of Ramana and Yung.

Rana - "Where is she ?"
Ramana - "Don't do anything to me. I will let her be brought here"

Ramana then called someone and ordered them to bring Sheela to Yung's laboratory. After, Sheela had been brought, she immediately walked towards Ramana and slapped him.
Sheela - "All this while, your people who have kidnapped me, have been discussing about you. Shame on you, that you thought of bringing a girl who trusted you, to such a dread end. Now, I have a superman with me and have nothing to fear."
Sheela then turned to Rana and stood looking at him. Ramana, still thinking that Rana has full superman powers, did not dare to do anything to them. Sheela then hugged Rana tightly, standing on Rana's feet. Rana then understood the signal, and then lifted himself and started flying towards India.

The North Korean leader, later issued a press statement, explaining the conspiracy. The relationship of North Korea with the neighbouring countries suddenly took a U-turn, favouring the growth of the country at a huge scale. The ineterpol started probing for Rayala. Rayala, after a long search spanning many countries, was arrested in Germany, and using his phone, they located the address of Yung and arrested him also. In the interrogation, Yung knowing that he is completely doomed, told about Ramana. Then, Ramana was also caught and arrested and sentenced to jail for seven years.

Rana, after graduation got a good job. He then waited till, Sheela completed her studies. Then they got married and lived happily ever after...

2012 (Part-11)

Story :
Rana, again, crossing the hedges on air, came directly above the laboratory building. Through the elevator from the ceiling he found that there is only one floor below, but it's a huge one which looked like three to four storeys from the outside. He went down. As the elevator door opened, there stood armed men, some thirty in number pointing their Machine guns towards him.

Rana - "Yo yo yo, you must have already read superman comics in your child hood, those bullets are gonna just hit my body and fall down. After that I am gonna kick you black and blue. Just allow me to complete my quest. I will leave you. What say ye ?"
One of them - "We want to fight"
Rana - "Yo wait (steps forward). I know that you are doing as your lieutenants commanded, but do you know that they are bribed ? They are going against your ruler"
One of them - " Try some other thing you fool. Did you forget that we are the ones, who sent the rocket to kill you and our ruler both at a time ?"
Rana - "Ok ok, cool down. How much Rayala promised you ?"
One of them - "The lieutenants told us that they will be leaving North Korea, appointing us as the governors and mayors of North Korea. They told us that they have been promised some real estate outside."
Rana - "Where are your lieutenants ?"
One of them - "They have already left North Korea "
Rana started laughing. The armed men, instead of wroth, now went into a confused state. Rana laughed and laughed, till
One of them - "Why are you laughing ?"
Rana - "You are conceited by your lieutenants. Cheated as hell. Entire North Korea is going to be destroyed with in a few days, unless the Plutonium is spilled on the nuclear reactors. Also, for the fear of getting destroyed, your leaders left earlier"
One of them - "How can we trust you ?"
Rana - "You may have already some scientists of this lab in your captivity. Ask them, and if they tell the same as I have told you, you can trust me"

Then the 30 armed people formed a circle and discussed among themselves for some time and again they stood pointing their guns towards Rana. Two of them, walked to a door, went inside and came back after ten minutes. Again they formed a circle and discussed for some time.

Then,
One of them - " They told us to send the Plutonium to the coast, once you were killed. We believe you now, go ahead, yonder it is, the Plutonium. Take it"

Anon, Rana went and took the Plutonium and from there bade the armed men and flying, went above the nuclear reactors. He then spilled the Plutonium in the gas ejecting holes of one  of them. And as he felt the reactions happening, he started with light speed, towards USA and reached Yung's laboratory in seconds. He filled the test tubes he emptied above the reactor with sand and went inside

Rana - "Here's your Plutonium. Take it, give me my Sheela back"
Ramana came near and took the test tubes from Rana, wondering whether the Plutonium looked like sand. He then went back and suddenly, a rounded glass enclosure shut Rana. Rana is now surrounded by glass enclosure, but could hear Ramana's words
Ramana - "You know Superman, it is embalmed with Kryptonite, that makes you weak. You can't do anything now. Sheela is mine. I will now enjoy her to the fullest, and then sacrifice her. Poor Superman, ha ha"

2012 (Part-10)

Story :
Rana - "Go on"
Person - "There is a conspiracy going on in my country against me. It was headed by Rayala"
Rana remembered that Rayala indeed is the father of Ramana. 
Person - "There is an internal revolution going on in our country and a day ago, don't know why but Rayala entered the scene. Using money power, he bought out all my loyalists and pitched them against me"

"Most recently our scientists discovered that our two nuclear reactors, due to unsafe practices, reached an alarming stage and should be destroyed at any cost, lest the whole country be destroyed. They suggested the spilling of Plutonium on the reactors is the only way to save the country.  But Rayala, conspired my lieutenants into not letting that happen. Yesterday night they came to my room, all of a sudden and bound me with ropes. From their talks I perceived that Rayala was behind this. Also, I heard them telling each other that only 6 KG of Plutonium is left in the laboratory. They also spoke of you, superman, coming for that Plutonium. They were also talking of the bounty that they are going to get after they kill you"

Rana's mind started to run steadfast thinking

So Rayala's father thinks that even after Ramana saves the world, I may be a threat to him. So he tried to kill me. There is already a plan to transfer Plutonium with the help of the lieutenants. Even if I am able to cross all the hurdles and get hold of Plutonium, they want me to get it back, in good will for Sheela. But, saving the world.

Rana - "Yesterday, you were telling me something of spilling the Plutonium and saving the world. It would only save your country, not the whole world ??"
Person - "Ah ah"
Rana - "And you said, two nuclear reactors, but there are three. I saw them with my own eyes. You are concealing something. Tell me, what is it ?"
Person - "I cannot tell you. No one in North Korea, except me and a bunch of scientists knew about it. It's a top secret"
Rana - "These are the times we have to trust each other. Don't lie in the misconception of not trusting anyone at the very end of your life. It will haunt you till death. Tell me, look at my face. Trust me"
Person - "Ok then, I will tell you. You, along with the whole world think that North Korea hasn't got any good scientists. It's not true. We got a plenty of them who are comparable to the renowned scientists in the whole world. We built a rocket to destroy the meteor in the outer space. We filled it with all the Plutonium that is available with us, and that is why we, who the CIA thinks the world's largest Plutonium reservoir have only 6 KG left with us. Thanks to our scientists who have locked the rocket in such a way, that it's path is already set. We have had only two nuclear reactors in real, but to make the world fear us more, we built a dummy third reactor, which looks exactly like the other two, and lies in between them. It is into this tower, we moved the rocket. The rocket has got everything, except the thump needed to fire itself into space. So, our scientists, after learning the matter about the alarming levels at the nuclear reactors, made a plan. As soon as the two reactors go down, all their nuclear power will be converted to a safer fission energy which will be directed towards the third reactor and from them into the rocket, which will get ejected and go straight into space and hits the meteor destroying it in the outer space. They built the entire layout linking the reactors with an excellent precision level. Also, they made an adjustment that if  you spill the plutonium on one of the two reactor's gas ejection hole, it's enough to reach both reactors, finally shooting the rocket into space.   But suddenly, yesterday, when the plan was all set, things changed"

"Now, you are the only one, who can do it. Please, save the world. I will be the witness, confessing to the whole world, that you are the one responsible for it"  
Rana - "Promise me, that if by God's grace, I rescued the world, you will confess, that North Koreans are the ones who saved the world and bring in a complete democratic rule in your country"
Person - "I can do that, but, I don't know why you are giving us the credit, when you yourself can get the whole hero worship"
Rana - "I have learned many great things on my way to save the world. The world as a whole, if it stands united is strong. North Korea till now, even though it has a higher literacy rate comparable to developed countries lived as an outcast. If you share your knowledge with the whole world, may be we could build another earth. I am not doing this for you, but for me, since I want to live in a better world"
There was a brief silence between them and then
Person - "Go on my son. I will keep my promise. God bless you"
Rana started flying back to get the Plutonium. After a brief moment, his phone rang, it's from Ramana
Ramana - "Thank God, I thought you were dead. Are you bringing the Plutonium back ?"
Rana - "Yeah for sure"
Ramana - "Just in case, you forget, remember, Sheela is with me"
Rana - "Yeah, I remember"
and Rana cut the phone flying towards the Plutonium laboratory

2012 (Part-9)

Story :
Before departing,
Yung - "Superman, you can start right now. Remember, don't spill the plutonium"
Rana went away while Ramana stayed with Yung.
Rana while flying, remembered the dates. Only two more days left for the meteor to enter earth's atmosphere. He didn't go hastily but went on flying slowly, watching people. There was fear and terror in every ones words and deeds. While, the older people's faces were filled with dread, the younger ones were in the tension of their day to day chores. Anon, he observed the innocence in children's faces, who are happy not knowing that their world would come to an end in the next two days. Some people were trying to be happy indulging themselves into all kinds of lavish enjoyments, but their eyes were sore with grief. Individuals were praying to enter heaven after their death repenting their sins while a majority of them were involved in communal prayers asking God to save the world. Watching this, Rana was deeply overjoyed inside himself remembering the angel's words about faith. A small thing tinkered his head - Sheela .

He alighted from air using GPS, straight away into Yongbyon. As told by Yung, there were three huge Magnox reactors standing tall, infront of him. He again, raised himself in air, in order to look for the laboratory where Plutonium is kept. He found a single laboratory with in the said radius and found 50-foot fences at three levels (walls) around it. It is impossible to enter it on foot, since the three levels resulted in a maze, that is impossible to traverse reaching the entrance of laboratory. Rana entered the perimeter in air, crossed the levels and now is directly above the laboratory building in mid air. Suddenly he observed a missile coming towards him fired from the building. As he could travel with light speed, it didn't seem a problem for him, the missile following. Rana thought that he would fly infront of the missile, till the fuel in the missile gets over. He never saw a missile that close in his life. So he thought of getting into a standing position observing the dissemination of the missile while flying at the same speed infront of the missile. Rana was astonished when he did that. Through the glass windows of the missile, he saw a person inside it. He was tied with ropes around him to a chair. Rana then realised that it wasn't a missile but a rocket. He came to a conclusion, that some one was trying to control it and if he goes inside the rocket, they will surely try to blast it to kill him. He, while flying at a speed on par with it, broke the window panes, went inside it. As soon as he went inside, he observed the change in the path of rocket, now the rocket was converging towards a hill. He immediately broke the windows large enough and as the rocket is about to hit the hill, he jumped out of it. The rocket hit the hill and blasted itself. The person isn't heavy, so Rana was able to sustain himself and the person with out injuries, bringing the person to the ground. Rana untied him and asked
Rana - "Who are you ?"
Person - "Spill the Plutonium on the towers. Spill it, spill it"
Rana - "Who are you ?"
Person - "There is no time. Just do what I say and you will save the world"
Rana - "Relax, don't fear while I am here. Tell me, who are you ?"
Person - "I am the ruler of North Korea"

2012 (Part-8)

Story :
Rana didn't waste time. He immediately flew as high as he can. From there he observed the world. It is as if he saw it on an atlas. He immediately flew down to United States. Using Google maps and GPS, he located the American embassy.

He went inside, but the person inside refused to give the details of Ramana. Rana then raised himself in the air, watching this, he immediately gave the details. Rana went to Ramana's hotel. It is an automated door, and as the door opened, he saw Ramana, sitting on a chair and watching him. Rana raised himself in the air and the conversation started

Ramana - "Heard that you became a superman. But, you are still wearing spects"
Rana - "These are for extra clarity. Now, I can even see the bacteria on your face. Leave it. Where is Sheela ?"
Ramana - "Leave it. I have a task for you"
Rana - "I want Sheela"
Ramana - "I want Plutonium. For that, I kept Sheela in a ware house"
Rana - "You mean Plutonium for Sheela"
Ramana - "You are sharp. After all, you are Superman. You must also have conceived that if you do anything to me, anything may happen to Sheela"
Rana - "I have seen enough movies. Tell me, where is the Plutonium ?"
Ramana - "Let's go to my friend Yung's lab. He will give you the details"
Rana - "You take a taxi and I will fly behind you "
Ramana - "Why taxi ? Guess you can lift aeroplanes. Am not a matter for you ? Am I ?"
Rana - "So many things could happen in air. The video or GPS tracker or what ever you are using to inform your friends that you are alive may not work in mid air"
Ramana - "What do you mean ?"
Rana - "I mean, so many things could happen in air"
Ramana - "Ok then, I will take taxi"

Ramana then took a taxi, while Rana followed him above the taxi 6 feet high. One child saw him and

Child - "Mama, look there, Superman"
Mom - "No dear, it's just augmented reality. There must be a projector inside that taxi. Also, Superman doesn't wear spectacles"

They went inside Yung's lab.

Yung - "Hey Ramana, did you talk with your father ? (pointing at Rana) Who is this ?"
Rana raised himself in the air.
Ramana - "I talked with him. He told me he can't do anything. But agreed to provide necessary ships and assistance of various governments to bring back the plutonium from the coast of North Korea. The only problem is, bringing the Plutonium to the coast. Now, regarding him, he is my friend turned Superman. He will bring the Plutonium to the coast"
Yung - "Oh, then come here. I will tell you people the plan"

Yung stood on a dais, took a stick in his hand and started a slide show

"The country we are going to rob the Plutonium is no ordinary country. If a third world war happens, it would be the one, the other countries would be willing to make friendship with, owing to it's strength in nuclear power. Ordinary citizens in that country do not have access to world wide internet till today. At present, after USA, it is the largest producer of raw materials that are used in Nuclear bombs. In 2000, the CIA published a report giving the locations of three “magnox” or a gas-graphite reactors  that are used to produce Plutonium. All the three were near to each other at a single location, Yongbyun.
"This is the map of NorthKorea.

 This is Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea. You travel, 100 kilometers through the north-west of Pyongyang, you will reach the nuclear complex of North Korea, Yongbyon. Inside the Yongbyon these are the locations of those reactors. When you are bringing the Plutonium back make sure, that it wouldn't even accidentally fall on these reactors, otherwise, atomic explosion may happen. Not far from these reactors, with in the radius of 5KM, there is a place, location still unclear, where there is a huge laboratory. In it, they keep the plutonium in a carefully designed huge test tubes. Bring them as is, here. Each test tube can hold 3 KG. We need around 6 KG to conduct the experiment. So bring back that much amount"

Ramana - " The other day, you are talking something about security, the impossibility to access the perimeter"

Yung - "I thought so. But at present, while cross examining the reports, and getting news from the inside, I found many interesting facts. The country, you could say is under a single family rule since it's inception.A year ago things changed. With the death of North Korean leader, his son in the early 20's, took the position of his father to rule the country. But a military personnel using his loyal followers, tried to bring a revolution, and also, with in the family, there is a lot of conflict in the interests. Now, at present there is a lot of internal fighting going on, and the ruler's dispersed their military to the various areas of the country to keep as much of North Korea as possible in their hands, imposing an emergency situation. So, Yongbyun, is like just any other city of North Korea now. It would not be a problem to enter it. But it's unclear about the place where Plutonium is kept. Figure it out yourself Superman"
Rana - "Sure"
Ramana - " Wait a minute, only 6 Kg of Plutonium. So there is no need of Ships to bring the Plutonium back. Man, I thought it would be in tonnes. You never told me"
Yung - "You never asked me"
Rana - "Then, (gave a huge sigh) I guess the plan is over"
